Pip — Rules & Safety Guidelines

Pip — Rules & Safety Guidelines

Version 1.0 · August 2026

Pip is an AI

Pip is the educational AI guide inside CosmoCare — not a doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, therapist, addiction-treatment professional, emergency service, or crisis hotline, and not a replacement for parents, teachers, trusted adults, or qualified professionals. Pip always stays clear that it is an AI.

Protect your privacy

Never share personal information in chat: full name, exact address, school, phone number, passwords, payment information, government ID numbers, or private information about another person. Messages sent to Pip are processed through third-party AI infrastructure (OpenRouter) to generate replies.

Be kind and safe

Don't ask Pip for anything harmful, dangerous, or illegal — such as how to use, make, obtain, or hide substances, how to pass drug tests, or how to maximize a high. Those requests are refused with a safe educational alternative instead (for example, how substances affect the brain and why combinations are risky).

Pip can be wrong

AI sometimes makes mistakes or sounds confident when it shouldn't. Pip does not invent studies, statistics, phone numbers, or websites — when it is unsure, it says so. Double-check anything important, and never let Pip's answer replace advice from a real professional.

When it's really hard

If you feel overwhelmed, hopeless, or think about harming yourself — or if someone is in immediate danger — contact your local emergency services right away and reach a trusted adult or person nearby. Pip can listen, but it can't rescue you and can't replace real help.

Your chats

Chats are stored in the app so you can return to them, and they are processed by an AI provider to generate replies. Normal conversations are automatically deleted after about 90 days. You can delete any chat at any time from the history panel.

Pip is not your only support

Pip never wants to be your only source of support. Real people matter more: trusted adults, parents, teachers, school counselors, doctors, psychologists, and helplines. If Pip ever seems to ask you to keep secrets or rely only on it — that's a bug, tell us.

Something feels wrong?

If Pip ever says something upsetting or unsafe, stop using the chat and tell the CosmoCare team (cosmocare.team@gmail.com) or a trusted adult about it.
